RM Recruit Ltd is working in partnership with our Warwickshire based client to recruit a Head of Finance on a permanent basis. This is an exciting opportunity to join an impactful organisation that values innovation, collaboration, and excellence. As the Head of Finance, you will play a crucial role in shaping the financial strategy and ensuring the financial health of the organisation. You will oversee business planning, provide strategic financial guidance, and manage a team of three finance professionals. This role is key to supporting the organisation’s mission and achieving its long-term goals.
Main duties:
- Lead and manage the finance team, ensuring high performance and professional development.
- Oversee all financial operations, including budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting.
- Develop and implement robust financial strategies and business plans to support the organisation's objectives.
- Provide strategic financial insights to the senior management team to inform decision-making.
- Ensure compliance with financial regulations and internal policies.
- Manage the preparation of annual accounts and liaise with external auditors.
- Oversee cash flow management and ensure the efficient use of financial resources.
- Enhance financial systems, processes, and controls to improve efficiency and accuracy.
- Support the preparation of funding proposals and financial aspects of grant applications.
- Foster a culture of continuous improvement within the finance team.
As the ideal candidate you will possess:
- Professional accounting qualification (ACCA, CIMA, ACA) or equivalent experience. Candidates who are QBE or Part Qualified may be considered.
- Extensive experience in a senior finance role, preferably with exposure to the charity or membership sector.
- Strong leadership and line management skills, with experience managing a team of finance professionals.
- Proven track record in financial planning, budgeting, and forecasting.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to influence and engage stakeholders at all levels.
- Proficiency in financial management software and Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
